PPR Avenues is an exciting small team business operating 3 workshops accross Victoria. Right now we are seeking skilled Motor Mechanics to perform diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services on a wide range of vehicles.
Job Duties:
- Diagnosing and identifying mechanical and electrical issues in engines and components.
- Test and adjust mechanical parts after repairs to ensure proper operation.
- Performing routine maintenance, such as oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups, to enhance vehicle performance and ensure compliance with emission standards.
- Inspect vehicles to issue roadworthiness certificates or outline necessary repairs for compliance.
- Disassemble and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems, and other parts, then inspect each component.
- Repairing or replacing worn or damaged parts, reassembling mechanical components, and consulting service manuals as necessary.
- Reassembling engines and components after repairs.
- Using computers to assist in diagnosing and testing components.
- Quick respond to vehicle breakdown calls for on-site service
Skill required & well versed with:
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and computerized testing devices.
- Knowledge of working with fluid-powered brakes, steering, and suspension systems.
- Understanding how engines, transmissions, braking systems, and other vehicle components work.
- Ability to accurately identify mechanical or electrical issues
- Should know safety regulations and practices.
- Current VIC Drivers License
- Certificate III in Automotive or Higher
- 2 years or more experience required in an automotive workshop as a mechanic/technician.
The benefits

- Salary ranging $75,000 - $80,000 + superannuation
- ability to work full time or on a structured week
