As a Principal House Officer/Registrar, you'll play a critical role in delivering urgent, high-quality care to a diverse regional community. From rapid clinical decision-making to collaborating across multidisciplinary teams, your work directly improves patient outcomes and strengthens the emergency care system.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
Delivering timely assessment, diagnosis and treatment that improves patient flow and outcomes
Working closely with senior clinicians and multidisciplinary teams to provide safe, coordinated care
Guiding and supporting junior staff while building your own clinical capability
Strengthening continuity of care through clear documentation, planning and communication

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
Medical degree and current (or eligible) registration with the Medical Board of Australia
Strong clinical capability with the ability to manage varied presentations in emergency settings
Excellent communication and teamwork skills in multidisciplinary environments
Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement and continuous learning
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in regional or rural healthcare and/or are pursuing further specialist training in emergency medicine.
