Opposite Lock Toowoomba is looking for an appropriately qualified and experienced Automotive Electrician to join the team, in the heart of Toowoomba City.
The main focus of the Automotive Electrician will be to perform a range of accessory fitments meeting the expectations of our customers. Previous experience fitting aftermarket accessories or similar would be an advantage, however training provided for the right candidate. Knowledge and interest in the 4WD and off road lifestyle also desired.

Responsibilities, tasks & duties include:
- Perform wiring upgrades, rewiring, modification and repair of electrical looms.
- Conduct electrical testing and troubleshooting.
- Perform advanced automotive electrical diagnostics and fault finding.
- Electrical accessory installation including but not limited to UHF, GPS, Driving Lights, Reverse Cameras.
- Fitment of vehicle accessories.
- Maintaining an up to date knowledge of new features and changes relating to the Opposite Lock product range.
- Report all work performed and record on repair order.
- Maintaining a safe working environment, ensuring the correct operation of all tools and specialised equipment, and adhere to WH&S guidelines.
- Test driving and conducting final assessments prior to the delivery of vehicles to customers.
- Ensuring that all work areas are kept clean and organised.
- Providing high level customer service.
- Assist with vehicle key collection, lockup, and securing building at day end.
Skills and experience
- Commitment to Opposite Lock’s goals and operational standards.
- Minimum 5 years experience and Automotive Electrician trade qualification
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of CAN Bus Systems and Modern Vehicle Electronics
- Experience and qualifications as an Automotive accessory fitter desired, however training provided to the right candidate
- Ability to work productively unsupervised
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Current valid Qld Manual drivers license
