Full Job Description

We are currently hiring for a Biostatistician to join the Australian Shoulder Research Institute team in Brisbane.
This full-time role will contribute to a growing research programme focused on orthopaedic clinical research, patient outcomes, scientific publications and statistical analysis.

Qualifications & Experience

A relevant Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Statistics, Biomedical Engineering, Biostatistics, Data Science, Mathematics or a related discipline.
A PhD or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field is highly desirable.
At least 1 year of relevant research, statistical analysis or data science experience.
Experience with coding and programming languages such as R, Python, MATLAB or Stata is highly desirable.

Position details:

Full-time position
Use statistics and numerical methods to develop algorithms and perform computations.
Communicate with management and academic collaborators to design project and research studies.
Develop methods and collect patient data through surveys to generate analysis to be used for scientific publication
Analyse, identify trends and interpret statistical results to report on surgery outcome, patient outcome, and help with data-driven decision making
Use your coding expertise to integrate and analyse large scale biomedical data
