F-35 Workplace Trainer and Assessor

Role Description:
The F-35 Workplace Trainer and Assessor delivers and manages specialised technical training in structural repair and Low Observable methodologies, combining instruction, assessment, and curriculum development to ensure workforce capability, compliance, and support the business in meeting current and future workforce needs.
Core Duties:
Training Delivery & Capability Development
- Deliver engaging technical training across classroom and hands-on environments, covering structural repair, Low Observable restoration, and interpretation of technical documentation (e.g. Aircraft Repair Manuals, Publications and Blueprints).
- Mentor and coach technicians to ensure precision workmanship, correct tool usage, and adherence to quality and reporting standards.
- Promote a strong safety culture, including Human Factors, PPE compliance, and safe chemical handling practices.
Assessment & Compliance
- Conduct competency assessments and workplace evaluations to support task authorisations.
- Ensure all work meets strict quality, tolerance, and compliance standards.
- Maintain accurate training records, qualifications, and OJT documentation.
- Identify capability gaps and deliver targeted coaching and remediation.
Curriculum & Resource Development
- Develop and continuously improve training materials, lesson plans, and practical assessments aligned to fleet updates.
- Design realistic, scenario-based training reflecting operational environments.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to ensure training accuracy and relevance.
- Manage training resources, including specialised tooling, calibration schedules, and materials.
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to standardisation activities to ensure consistency in training delivery and assessment outcomes.
- Maintain technical expertise and stay current with emerging aircraft technologies and practices.
Essential Skills:
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (essential or the intent to gain this qualification)
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills Structures
- Demonstrated experience in learning management systems and content management systems
- Working experience in an aviation trade environment to support the various programs/ projects within the business
- Working experience in the Vocational Education Training (VET) sector
