Swift Car Removal is a vehicle removal and recycling company operating across Newcastle and surrounding regions, providing cash-for-cars, scrap vehicle removal, and automotive recycling services. Due to the company’s increasing sales turnover and ongoing financial transactions relating to vehicle purchases, payroll, taxation, and business expenses, the company requires an Accountant to manage financial records, monitor cash flow, prepare financial reports, ensure compliance with taxation obligations, and support efficient financial operations.
We are looking for Accountant who can work within a dynamic and high performing
environment.
Key duties will include but not limited to:
1: Compile and evaluate financial records, including profit and loss reports, balance
sheets, and cash flow summaries, to assist management in assessing the
company’s financial performance and operational efficiency.
2: Prepare annual budgets, financial projections, and expenditure reviews by
analysing sales revenue, inventory turnover, procurement expenses, and
operational costs associated with the automotive parts and recycling business.
3: Manage statutory and taxation obligations by preparing and submitting BAS,
GST, PAYG, payroll tax, and company tax documentation in accordance with
Australian legislative and compliance requirements.
4: Maintain accurate accounting records and oversee the use of computerised
accounting software to record financial transactions relating to vehicle
dismantling, spare parts sales, supplier payments, and business operations.
5: Establish and review financial procedures and control measures to improve
accountability, safeguard company resources, and ensure the integrity of
financial data and reporting processes.
6: Support audit activities by reconciling accounts, reviewing financial transactions,
and preparing supporting documentation to ensure records are complete,
accurate, and compliant with applicable financial regulations.
7: Provide financial insights and recommendations to management regarding cash
flow management, business expenditure, inventory investment, and profitability
strategies to support sustainable growth and operational planning.
Key Requirements:
1: Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or a related field, with a strong
understanding of financial principles and practices
2: Minimum of 1 years of experience in accounting or a similar role, demonstrating
proficiency in financial analysis and reporting
3: Strong proficiency in English language and communication skills, with the ability
to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders and clients
4: Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage
multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
5: Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced
environment, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills
6: Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying
updated on industry trends and best practices in accounting and taxation
Pay: $79,499.00 – $107,916.30 per year
