We are seeking to establish a pool of Science Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
Thornlie SHS is seeking a teacher who can ideally teach Science in the lower secondary (Years 7 to 10) in addition to teaching a combination of General and/or Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) level courses for Year 11 and 12 students.
The successful applicant should be a highly organised educator with strong written and verbal communication skills, who can ideally develop and deliver engaging programs that are differentiated, challenging, caring and creative. The ideal applicant should display a commitment to catering for the diverse needs of all students to ensure every learner can progress and achieve success.
The successful applicant should have the ability to work collaboratively to plan and implement effective teaching and learning programs that align with the Thornlie SHS Business Plan.
