About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and creative Content Creator to lead and grow Stradbroke Yachts’
digital and social media presence. Stradbroke Yachts is a builder of luxury aluminium
catamarans, and this role will play a key part in promoting the brand, showcasing our builds,
and engaging with prospective local & International customers through high-quality digital
content and storytelling.
This is a hands-on role requiring regular attendance at our factory build shed to capture in-
progress builds and participation in sea trials, yacht deliveries, and sailing activities to
produce engaging marketing content across digital platforms.
You will manage and grow our YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook channels, create
compelling visual and written content, and contribute to the business’s overall marketing and
brand development strategies.
Key Responsibilities
On-Site Capture: Work safely and confidently inside an active factory build shed
alongside shipwrights and trades to document progress.
On-Water Content: Shoot and edit sailing footage, sea trials, deliveries, and brand
films that show our yachts doing what they were built for.
Content Creation: Produce long-form YouTube build-series episodes, short-form
Reels and TikTok-style cutdowns, and stills for Instagram and Facebook.
Social Strategy: Develop, implement, and manage digital content strategies to
increase brand awareness, customer engagement, and audience growth across
YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and other digital platforms.
Engagement: Monitor channels and respond to comments and messages
professionally, growing an audience of prospective customers.
Collaboration: Work with your manager to track content calendars and review
analytics on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.
Requirements
At least three (3) years’ experience in content creation, social media marketing,
digital marketing, or a similar role
Demonstrated experience managing brand-focused social media channels, including
YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.
Proven experience producing videography and marketing content for yachts, marine
products, luxury brands, or similar industries (portfolio required).
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop / Lightroom, and
Illustrator).
Comfortable working in a factory-built shed environment, including appropriate PPE
(closed-toe boots, eye and hearing protection).
A strong eye for storyboarding, composition, and light
Experience recording audio in active industrial or outdoor environments.
Nice to have
Hands-on sailing experience, you've crewed, raced, or skippered and can keep a
camera steady while a yacht is sailing.
Experience working on or around Yachts or STCW 95 Certification
Drone cinematography experience.
Experience with Sony A7SIII cameras, wireless audio equipment, and lighting.
What We Offer
Full-time position with an annual salary of $75,000–$85,000 based on experience,
plus superannuation.
