Full Job Description

Scope

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of housekeeping operations, ensuring the property is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and safety in compliance with Ascott Policies, Processes & Procedures (PPP). The role involves leading the housekeeping team, managing budgets, and fostering an environment of continuous improvement to enhance guest satisfaction and ensure efficient service delivery.

In this role you will be responsible for:

Overseeing day-to-day housekeeping operations, ensuring all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet Ascott’s cleanliness and presentation standards.
Leading and managing the housekeeping team through effective rostering, performance monitoring, training, and maintaining high levels of productivity and morale.
Conducting regular room and public area inspections, audits, and quality checks to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Managing housekeeping budgets and inventory, including linen, supplies, and equipment, ensuring cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.
Collaborating with Guest Service and other departments to deliver seamless guest experiences, address feedback promptly, and ensure rooms are prepared to meet guest needs and expectations.

To be successful in this role you must have:

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop team members in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent attention to detail and quality standards, with a commitment to maintaining high levels of cleanliness, presentation, and compliance.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and respond to guest needs professionally.
Solid organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage schedules, priorities, budgets, and operational challenges efficiently.
Good knowledge of housekeeping operations, safety regulations, and sustainability practices, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement and cost control.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
