About Henry Jones Art Hotel:

Nestled in the heart of the historic Hobart waterfront, you will find The Henry Jones Art Hotel; Federal Hospitality luxury hotels that combines premium accommodation with immersive, unforgettable experiences. Throughout the halls and across the walls of The Henry Jones Art Hotel, you'll find engaging pieces of history, art and stories that connect our guests to the beautiful state of Tasmania.

What you can expect in a day in this role:

You will be responsible for welcoming guests and managing check-in and check-out processes, handling reservations, amendments and guest enquiries, coordinating internal and external tour bookings, maintaining accurate guest profiles and records, assisting with luggage handling and valet parking, and supporting the Front Office team in day-to-day operations.

In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to step into a Duty Manager role when required, providing operational leadership, overseeing shifts, and ensuring a seamless guest experience across the hotel. While these shifts are not guaranteed, they offer valuable exposure to leadership responsibilities and hotel operations.

What you'll bring:

We’re looking for a hospitality professional who enjoys delivering exceptional service and is ready to step up when needed.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in hotel Front Office or Reservations (ideally as a Guest Services Agent)
Previous experience in a Duty Manager or leadership capacity (highly regarded)
Strong communication, organisational and time management skills
Ability to stay calm, adaptable and positive in a fast-paced environment
A proactive mindset with the confidence to take ownership when leading shifts
Current full manual driver’s licence
Valid Tasmanian RSA
Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
Experience with RMS or similar hotel systems (preferred)
