This is a great opportunity for qualified, friendly and skilled Aquatic Operations Manager to join the team and lead our aquatics team!
The Role
As Aquatic Operations Manager, you’ll lead the day-to-day operations of a busy community facility, ensuring a safe, well-run environment and a high-quality customer experience. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll coach and support Duty Managers and Lifeguards, drive team culture, and ensure our operations run smoothly and safely.
You don’t need prior aquatic industry experience to succeed in this role. We’re looking for a strong people leader with operational experience - we’ll provide training and support to develop your technical skills in pool operations and compliance.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach and develop a team to deliver safe and high-quality services

Oversee daily operations, rostering and service delivery

Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure effective incident response

Identify and manage risks, hazards and compliance requirements

Drive a positive team environment and strong customer experience
About You
-
We’re open to candidates from a range of operational leadership backgrounds (e.g. hospitality, fitness, retail, facilities, emergency services, defence or similar environments).
You will bring:

Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams

Strong communication skills and confidence in managing people and situations

Sound judgement and a commitment to safety

The ability to work across mornings, evenings and weekends

Support to obtain industry qualifications (including Pool Lifeguard and Pool Operations certificates)

National Police Check
Candidates with prior experience in aquatics, pool operations or technical plant management will be highly regarded but are not essential.
