VU Sport and Health are dedicated to empowering our community to live active, healthy, and fulfilling lives. We deliver a wide range of sport, fitness, and wellness programs across Victoria University’s Sport & Health Centres, supporting students, staff, and the broader community to achieve their health and wellbeing goals.
At our Footscray Park campus, we operate a full Aquatic and Fitness Centre, featuring a swimming pool, gym, and group exercise studios. Our Werribee and St Albans sites also provide gym facilities and fitness programs for the university and local community.
We're currently seeking an instructor to take over our Monday 5:30pm Dance Fitness class at Footscray Park, with the opportunity to expand your involvement by facilitating monthly Silent Disco events and covering other classes across Victoria University.
About the Role
As a Dance Fitness Instructor, you'll deliver engaging, high-energy classes that create a welcoming environment for participants of all fitness levels. Whether your style is dance cardio, Zumba, hip-hop fitness, or another dance-based format, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver safe, fun, and motivating dance fitness classes
Create an inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation and confidence
Provide exercise modifications to suit varying fitness levels
Build rapport with members and contribute to a positive community culture
Maintain a high standard of professionalism and customer service
Selection Criteria
Essential
Current Group Exercise Instructor qualification (Cert III in Fitness minimum) or Dance qualification
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
Previous experience teaching dance fitness classes preferred
