Where you’ll be working:
The New England Northwest (NENW) Mental Health Service seeks a dedicated and passionate clinician to join our Northwest team. This position is site negotiable with option to be based in Moree, Narrabri or Tamworth.
The NENW Mental Health Service provides acute mental health care across the Northwest catchment and is comprised of a multidisciplinary team, including medical staff and an array of allied health staff. You will be a part of a contemporary and innovative service that provides mental health assessments and treatment across the communities of the Northwest district.
The service maintains a strong clinical governance structure to ensure the provision of consistent evidence based mental health care for every patient every time. The team is passionate about leading change and innovation in the delivery of ambulatory mental health services, with a strong multidisciplinary leadership team.
You will be supported in this position by the Community Manager and Clinical Coordinator, with clinical supervision available and encouraged. The successful applicant will become part of a wider Hunter New England local Health District Mental Health Service network and will have access to support and education from key district support positions.
About the role:
As a Mental Health Clinician within the service, you will be working within our Adult Community Team providing care coordination to adults with varying mental health issues by delivering high quality person-centred care. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team utilising evidence-based practice to support a person in their mental health recovery journey to achieve identified goals and outcomes.
About you:
We are looking for someone with a passion for working with people with a mental illness, as well as the ability to work efficiently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
You will work collaboratively with clients to develop care plans, and monitor and support their mental state in their mental health recovery journey.
Your exceptional communication skills and passion for building therapeutic relationships will be the key to your success in this position.
Requirements:

Must hold a qualification in one of the following: Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Counsellor (Degree in Bachelor of Health Science Mental Health, Djirruwang Program), Nutrition, and Dietetics which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association / provisional or general registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
