Buon Appetit is a busy, family-owned Italian restaurant in Camden, known for authentic handmade Italian food, wood-fired pizza, quality ingredients and high-volume service. The business grew from a family-run food truck into a permanent restaurant, with a strong focus on consistency, discipline and pride in food.
We are currently looking for a Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team, working across our entrées and sides section, including larder, hot and cold preparation.
This role is suited to someone who is organised, fast, clean and confident running their own section during busy service.
About the Role
You will be responsible for preparing and running our entrées, sides and larder section, including both hot and cold items. This section is a key part of our kitchen and requires strong preparation, speed, cleanliness and attention to detail.
You will be working in a fast-paced Italian kitchen alongside our pasta, pizza and main kitchen sections.
Duties Include
- Running the entrées and sides section during service
- Preparing hot and cold larder items
- Preparing sides, starters, salads, fried items and other section prep
- Maintaining quality, portion control and consistency
- Keeping your section clean, stocked and organised
- Following food safety, labelling, FIFO and hygiene procedures
- Working closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team
- Assisting with daily prep, pack down and cleaning duties
- Maintaining speed and composure during high-volume service
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, Commis Chef or strong kitchen all-rounder
- Experience in larder, entrées, sides, fryer or cold section preferred
- Ability to work cleanly and efficiently under pressure
- Strong food safety and hygiene standards
- Good communication and teamwork
- Reliable, punctual and organised
- Pride in presentation, consistency and quality
- Ability to follow direction and work within a structured kitchen team

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
Experience:
- Commercial Cooking: 2 years (Preferred)
- Italian cuisine: 2 years (Preferred)
Language:

- Commercial COokery Certificate III or higher (Required)
