The Role
Join a growing Sydney insurance practice where you will take real ownership of matters, gain early advocacy exposure, and work directly with clients on complex liability disputes.
This is an opportunity for an Associate to step into a hands-on role acting primarily for insurers across public liability lines, with a mix of defendant and recovery work. You will run your own files while being supported by experienced partners and senior lawyers.

What You'll Do
Manage a varied portfolio of litigated matters from commencement through to resolution, with genuine day-to-day ownership;
Defend complex statutory liability and personal injury claims;
Advise on and run subrogated recovery actions;
Appear in NSW courts, including the District Court and, as your experience grows, the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal;
Run matters in NCAT from start to finish;
Work closely with insurers, insureds, and underwriters, providing clear and commercially focused advice;
Prepare matters for hearing, including drafting pleadings, submissions, and evidence;
Brief and collaborate with counsel, experts, and other key stakeholders
Who We Are Looking For
You will have between 2-5 years of experience within litigation. The ideal candidate will have a professional approach and excellent communication skills, with a client service focus. You will have the ability to prioritise tasks, display initiative, and have good attention to detail and a proven history of meeting deadlines.
