Job Description
At TAL, you'll play a key role in strengthening the frameworks that help us deliver on our promise to protect Australians with confidence. Working within the Line 2 Risk Office, you'll partner with stakeholders across the business to enhance financial risk management practices, support critical decision making, and help shape a strong and sustainable future for TAL. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by embedding a proactive risk culture that enables our business to grow responsibly while continuing to support customers when they need us most.
In This Role You Will:

Provide trusted risk and compliance guidance to strengthen the management of financial risks across the business

Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of TAL’s Risk Appetite Statement

Collaborate with Capital teams to support and evolve TAL’s Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) framework
-
Lead the coordination and delivery of stress testing scenarios that strengthen business resilience

Build strong stakeholder partnerships to embed risk awareness and promote effective risk management practices

Deliver risk expertise and strategic advice to projects across TAL’s financial risk portfolio
Qualifications
-
Relevant tertiary qualification in a business, risk, finance, actuarial or related discipline

At least 3+ years' experience within financial services, risk management, insurance, banking or a related industry

Understanding of life insurance prudential requirements, capital frameworks or regulatory obligations
-
Strong analytical skills with the ability to navigate complex issues and identify practical solutions
-
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities

Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and continuous improvement mindset
