Full Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and adaptable medical receptionist to join our supportive and friendly team on a casual basis at our specialist medical practice. This role suits someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is available to cover shifts at short notice.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is confident, organised, and passionate about patient care. You’ll play a key role at our front desk and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Greeting patients, answering phones, and managing appointments
Invoicing and receipting for consultations
Assisting with surgical bookings (private and public hospitals)
Coordinating follow-up and post-operative appointments
Issuing accounts, collecting, and processing payments

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience in a medical reception or administrative role (specialist/surgical practice experience is a bonus, but not essential)
Experience using Genie software or similar medical software (preferred, not essential, training will be provided)
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic
Flexibility and broad weekday availability to cover casual shifts at short notice and work additional hours where available
