Renderer (Solid Plasterer)
Position Overview
Renderer (Solid Plasterer) is responsible for preparing surfaces and applying various types of plaster, textures, and finishes to walls and ceilings for construction and renovation
projects. The role requires hands-on experience, strong technical ability and
attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Organise daily work plans to meet deadlines
2. Determine material quantities for each project
3. Set up materials, mixers, and tools in accordance with safety regulations
4. Clean and prepare surfaces such as painted walls, brick walls, and
concrete columns
5. Mix and apply plaster, cement render, acrylic render, white set, vanish
finish, polished concrete finish, and rendered texture
6. Perform gyprock plastering, tile setup, external frame installation, and
drywall finishing
7. Level and straighten corners, angles, and ceilings
8. Apply smooth, sanded, or textured finishes using various techniques
9. Apply float coats, render coats, and final set coats
10. Finish undersides of concrete floors
11. Ensure high standards of finish and safety across all tasks
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Cert III or IV in Solid Plastering is desirable or 3 years of experience in
Solid Plastering
2. Strong understanding of various plastering materials and application
techniques
3. Ability to work from plans and specifications
4. Knowledge of Australian construction and safety standards
5. Reliable transport and driver's licence preferred
6. Physical fitness and ability to work in varied conditions
