The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Consultant, Global Mobility, to join our team and be the regional lead for Global Mobility across Asia Pacific, based in our Sydney office. Reporting to the Global Mobility Manager in Glasgow, this role has been created as a result of continued growth, with the team supporting over 150 moves a year across more than 20 countries. This role will enable you to leverage your Global Mobility experience to contribute to the continued enhancement of our Global Mobility function as it continues to grow in strategic importance for the firm.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Operational Delivery and Case Management - manage the end-to-end assignment process for moves into and across APAC, short-term, long-term and permanent transfer.
- Assess and resolve complex mobility scenarios in consultation with external advisers.
- Ensure consistent application of the Global Mobility policy across APAC, proactively identifying compliance risks.
- Build and maintain strong trusted relationships with key stakeholders across the APAC region including the APAC P&C Director, P&C Business Partners, Talent Acquisition teams and others.
- Manage relationships with external vendors for immigration, relocation and temporary accommodation across APAC.
- Drive continuous improvements to Global Mobility processes, leading strategic projects for the APAC region that contribute to the elevation of the function.

We are interested in hearing from people who have:
- Prior experience in a Global Mobility role (~7 years) with a track record of managing complex, multi-jurisdictional casework.
- Experience in the legal or professional services industries preferred.
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end Global Mobility processes, including assignment management, policy application and case resolution.
- Sound understanding of Global Mobility compliance, including immigration, tax, social security and payroll obligations.
- Strong knowledge of Australian immigration, including visa types and relevant legislation.
- The ability to work autonomously and sound judgement to make informed business decisions.
