Sydney Harbour Attractions is currently hiring qualified General Purpose Hands (GPHs) to work across our fleet, including Sydney Harbour Whale Watching and Whitehaven Cruises.

About the role
This is a hands-on GPH position working across multiple vessels within the Sydney Harbour Attractions fleet. You’ll be supporting whale watching, Whitehaven cruises, charters, Vivid and other special event cruises, working closely with skippers and crew to ensure safe, efficient and well-run trips.
There’s also the opportunity to develop your skills and progress within the business over time.
What you’ll be doing
- Assisting with boarding and disembarking passengers
- Supporting safe vessel operations under direction of the skipper
- Carrying out general deckhand duties
- Helping with passenger management and basic customer interaction
- Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of vessels
- Assisting with wharf operations when required
What we’re looking for
- Valid GPH qualification (essential)
- RSA (required for applicable vessels)
- First Aid is an advantage
- Previous marine or customer-facing experience preferred
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Reliable, well presented and able to work in a team environment
- Comfortable working across different vessels and conditions

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual
Pay: $31.50 – $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 38 per week
