Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile individual to join our team as a Construction Estimator and Business Development Manager. In this dual role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating costs for formwork, steel fixing, and concreting projects, as well as actively seeking new business opportunities to drive the growth of our construction company.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Estimation:

Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates for formwork, steel fixing, and concreting jobs.
Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating.
Ensure that cost estimates are competitive while maintaining profitability.
Track and maintain records of project estimates, changes, and associated documentation.

2. Business Development:

Identify potential clients and projects through market research and networking.
Build and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other industry professionals.
Attend meetings, conferences, and industry events to promote the company and identify new business opportunities.
Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure new projects.
Collaborate with the management team to develop and execute business development strategies.

3. Project Coordination:

Work closely with project managers to ensure a smooth transition from the business development phase to project execution.
Provide ongoing support to project teams by addressing any estimating-related issues or changes as they arise.

4. Reporting:

Generate regular reports on business development activities, leads, and conversion rates.
Provide accurate and timely reports on project cost estimates and budgets.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering,
Proven experience in construction estimation and business development, preferably in formwork, steel fixing, and concreting.
Strong understanding of construction processes and materials.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.

Job Types: Full-time, Subcontract

Pay: $26.03 – $50.00 per hour
