Research Sydney Part Time Research at Icon Group

Key Points:

Two permanent part-time positions available (45.6 hours per fortnight each).
Home base location available within metropolitan or regional NSW, depending on candidate location, preference and operational requirements.

Work within a collaborative research network supporting cancer clinical trials across multiple Icon Cancer Centre locations.

About the Role
This is a permanent part-time position (approximately 45 hours per fortnight) working with our collaborative research team across Icon Cancer Centre locations in NSW. We currently have two opportunities available and are seeking candidates who can support our growing clinical research program.

Successful candidates will be allocated a home base site within either metropolitan or regional NSW, depending on candidate preference, location and operational requirements. While primarily based at one location, occasional travel between nearby centres may be required to support patient visits and ensure continuity of clinical trial activities.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a well-established oncology clinical research program, supporting a broad range of cancer clinical trials while working alongside experienced clinicians and researchers.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Be:

Provide high level support to Icon Principal Investigators in the conduct and day-to-day management of clinical trials.
Manage and conduct the clinical trial portfolio including trial coordination, recruitment, participant and team member education and communication.
Ensure that clinical research carried out within Icon is conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice, the NHMRC National Statement and Icon policies.
Contribute to the financial management of the business unit to ensure trial participants are tracked and patient payment data is submitted in a timely manner.
Communicate effectively with trial participants to ensure trial-related procedures are booked appropriately and compliance with scheduled visits is maintained.
Actively attend meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

About You
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented individual with excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills. You will be able to manage competing priorities, build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders, and confidently coordinate clinical research activities in a dynamic healthcare environment.

We are open to considering candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including:

Extended Oncology/Haematology Nursing, Radiation Therapy or Clinical Trials experience.
A bachelor's degree in health sciences, pharmacy or an allied health discipline, together with relevant research coordination experience.

Whether you are an experienced Clinical Research Coordinator or a highly skilled Medical Oncology or Haematology Nurse or Radiation Therapist looking to transition into research, we welcome your application. Clinical trials training can be provided for the right candidate.

Essential Requirements:

Valid Australian working rights.
Current Australian driver's licence.
Access to a reliable, roadworthy vehicle.
Ability to travel occasionally between Icon Cancer Centre locations as required.
