Full Job Description

Health by Motion is a leading strength, movement, rehabilitation, and sports performance facility located in Edgecliff, Sydney. We specialise in athletic development, movement optimisation, combat sports instruction, strength and conditioning, injury prevention, and performance-based training programs.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated High-Performance Sports Coach to join our team on a full-time basis.

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering specialised sports coaching, athletic conditioning, combat sports instruction, and performance development programs for a broad range of participants and athletes.

Key responsibilities include:

Coaching and instructing participants in combat sports, athletic conditioning, strength development, and sports performance training programs
Assessing participant and athlete performance to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas requiring improvement
Designing and implementing structured coaching and conditioning programs aimed at improving strength, endurance, mobility, agility, coordination, and sporting performance
Delivering specialised combat sports coaching sessions focused on technical skill development, movement execution, discipline, and athletic performance
Preparing participants and athletes for competitive sporting environments, performance-based activities, and advanced physical conditioning programs
Monitoring participant progression and modifying coaching programs based on performance outcomes and development goals
Providing instruction on training methodologies, conditioning techniques, recovery strategies, movement patterns, and performance enhancement principles
Conducting individual and group coaching sessions in a professional and engaging manner
Maintaining accurate participant records and performance assessments
Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements while maintaining a safe training environment
Collaborating with coaching staff and allied health professionals to support participant outcomes and athletic development
Maintaining high standards of professionalism, participant engagement, and client service

Requirements:

Relevant qualification in Fitness, Sports Coaching, Exercise Science, Sport and Recreation, or a related discipline
Minimum three years of relevant industry experience in sports coaching, athletic conditioning, strength and conditioning, combat sports coaching, or performance development
Strong knowledge of sports performance principles, athlete development, and conditioning methodologies
Excellent communication and coaching skills
Professional presentation, strong work ethic, and ability to work within a team environment

Position Details:

Full-time position (38 hours per week)
Salary: $80,000 per annum plus superannuation
Location: Edgecliff, Sydney NSW
