About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced ICT Support Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide technical support to staff, maintain computer systems and networks, and ensure the smooth operation of our computer infrastructure and web‑based services.
Key Responsibilities
- Responding to inquiries about and finding solutions to software and hardware problems and network issues
- Providing technical support to office staff, warehouse employees, and sales representatives
- Adapting existing programs to meet business requirements
- Supporting business software such as ERP, inventory management, CRM, and accounting systems
- Maintaining the company's network, internet connectivity, and shared drives
- Managing user accounts, email systems (such as Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace), and access permissions
- Ensuring efficient use and performance of applications, equipment and ICT resources
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop computers, laptops, printers, barcode scanners and mobile devices
- Troubleshoot operating systems, applications, and email-related issues
- Repairing and replacing peripheral equipment such as terminals, printers and modems
- Monitoring and maintaining ICT systems to ensure optimal performance
- Designing and maintaining websites
- Assisting with system upgrades, software deployments, and data backups
- Documenting support activities and maintaining accurate service records
- Supporting cybersecurity practices by ensuring systems are updated and secure
- Supporting users with software installations, account access, password resets, and connectivity issues
Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma, or Advanced Diploma or above in Information Technology or a closely related field
- At least 12 months of previous experience in an ICT support or help desk role in a business environment is preferred
- Knowledge of Windows and MacOS operating systems, Microsoft 365, networking, and hardware troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Active Directory, remote support tools, and basic network administration is an advantage
- Networking knowledge and experience with cloud-based systems (e.g. Microsoft 365)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- A positive, customer-centric attitude and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
