Belonging Early Learning Hornsby is looking for a reliable, caring, and committed trainee educator to join our team.
This is a paid, full-time traineeship where you will work hands-on with children while completing your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
This role is best suited to someone who is new to the childcare sector, enjoys working with young children, and is looking for a long-term career pathway in early childhood education.
About Belonging Early Learning
Belonging Early Learning Hornsby is a family-owned early childhood education and care centre located in Hornsby, approximately 15 minutes’ walk from Hornsby/Waitara train station.
We are a purpose-built centre with a warm, supportive, and experienced team culture. Our educators work together to create a safe, caring, and engaging environment where children feel a strong sense of belonging.
As a trainee educator, you will be supported by experienced educators, room leaders, and our leadership team while you build your skills, confidence, and understanding of early childhood education.
About the Traineeship
During your traineeship, you will:
- Gain paid, hands-on experience working with children aged 6 weeks to 6 years
- Work towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Receive mentoring and guidance from experienced early childhood educators
- Be supported with study, practical learning, and workplace training
- Learn how to support children’s routines, play, learning, safety, and wellbeing
- Build a strong foundation for a future career in early childhood education
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Kind, patient, caring, and respectful towards children
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to full-time work
- Genuinely interested in building a career in childcare
- Able to work as part of a team and follow guidance from educators and room leaders
- Willing to learn, ask questions, and receive feedback
- Professional in communication with children, families, and staff
- Living locally or able to travel reliably to Hornsby each day
Previous childcare experience is not required. However, you must have a genuine interest in working with young children and be willing to commit to the full traineeship.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Be available to work full-time, Monday to Friday
- Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold full working rights in Australia
- Hold a current Working With Children Check, or be willing to obtain one before commencing
- Be willing to complete a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care as part of the traineeship
- Be reliable with attendance and committed to completing the traineeship
High school completion is preferred but not essential.
