About the role:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support the day-to-day finance operations of the business from its Sydney head office. Working closely with the Financial Accountant, this role will focus across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and month-end support while contributing to the smooth running of the wider finance function.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior finance professional or recent graduate looking to build hands-on experience within a well-established fashion and retail business.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Accounts Payable including invoice processing, supplier reconciliations, and payment runs
- Process employee expense claims and company credit card reconciliations
- Allocate customer receipts and assist with Accounts Receivable administration
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies or variances
- Support month-end processes including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting tasks
- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve finance-related queries and maintain accurate records
About you:
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Some practical finance or accounts experience through internships, placements, or part-time roles
- Basic understanding of Accounts Payable, reconciliations, and finance administration
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
- Comfortable using Excel and accounting systems
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute within a collaborative team environment
