Job Description
Grid Electrics Group is currently seeking an experienced Solar Roofer / Solar Installer for ongoing commercial and residential solar projects in Sydney, NSW.
We are looking for a reliable and experienced installer with a background in rooftop solar installations, including panel mounting, installation works, and working alongside electrical teams to complete projects safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Install solar panels and mounting systems on commercial and residential rooftops / structures
- Carry out panel layout, mounting, and installation works in accordance with approved designs and Australian Standards
- Assist with solar installation works on site
- Work closely with electricians and site teams to complete projects safely and on schedule
- Ensure all rooftop works are carried out safely and to a high standard
- Follow site safety requirements, SWMS, and PPE procedures at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in solar roofing / solar installations
- Experience working on commercial and/or residential solar projects
- White Card
- Working at Heights ticket / experience
- Valid driver’s licence preferred
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a team environment
- Experience working alongside SAA/CEC-accredited solar installers is an advantage
Preferred
- Experience with solar panel mounting systems
- Ability to read plans / layouts and follow installation drawings
- Strong understanding of site safety and installation standards
