About Us

Eros Construction is a Sydney-based construction company specialising in residential building projects, including new homes, duplexes, alterations and additions.

The company is led by an experienced licensed builder with over 8 years of hands-on industry experience. With a practical understanding of residential construction, site supervision and project delivery, Eros Construction is committed to delivering reliable workmanship, clear communication and well-managed building outcomes.

As the company continues to grow, we are looking for a reliable Site Assistant to provide logistical and administrative support to the site-based team, including the Director /Licensed Builder, Engineering Technologist, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.

About the Role

The Site Assistant will support the Engineering Technologist and Licensed Builder in daily project operations, including technical document management, site dimension verification, material coordination, and basic drawing tasks.

This role is suitable for someone who is practical, reliable and willing to learn on site. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Licensed Builder and Engineering Technologist, supporting site operations by managing materials, documents, and site organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain drawing version control to ensure the latest drawings are used on site

- Prepare material take-off lists, inspection records, and other technical documents

- Conduct site dimension checks as directed by the ET and record/report discrepancies

-Take progress photos at key milestones and prepare simple progress records

-Assist the ET in verifying delivered materials against specifications

-Modify simple drawings and prepare detail drawings as directed by the ET

-Coordinate material delivery timing and organise storage areas

-Manage site tool inventory and consumables stocktaking

-Assist in maintaining site cleanliness and safety signage

Requirements

* Previous experience in residential construction, site coordination, carpentry, building labouring or construction administration is preferred.

* Ability to read or understand basic construction drawings is an advantage.

* Good communication and coordination skills.

* Reliable, organised and willing to take responsibility.

* Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.

* Basic computer skills for photos, messages, documents and project records.

* Mandarin-speaking ability is an advantage but not essential.

* Driver licence and own transport are preferred.
