Full Job Description

The Role

Lead a dynamic portfolio of Council venues and community property that sit at the heart of the community. In this role, you will shape how spaces are activated, accessed, and experienced. You will drive high-quality, compliant, and efficient services while creating opportunities for greater community participation. With a balance of strategic oversight and hands-on delivery, you will play a key role in maximising utilisation, strengthening engagement, and enhancing the customer experience.

Key Accountabilities:

Deliver Council’s Community Property and Venues for Hire programs in line with strategic priorities and community needs.
Oversee lease and licence agreements across the Community Property portfolio, ensuring strong governance and compliance.
Manage Council’s venues for hire, with a focus on safe, efficient operations and consistent service standards.
Drive promotion and activation of venues to increase awareness, utilisation, and revenue.
Monitor usage trends and customer feedback to improve services and inform decision-making.
Build strong relationships with community groups and stakeholders to support access and participation.
Lead and support the team, fostering a positive culture and managing performance in line with Council expectations.

What We Are Looking For

Relevant tertiary qualifications or strong experience in property, venues, or business management.
Current NSW Driver Licence (Class C), RSA, and Working with Children Check.
Proven financial management skills, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue growth.
Strong leadership experience, with the ability to build teams, manage performance, and lead change.
Skilled communicator who can engage stakeholders, negotiate outcomes, and build strong partnerships.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, balance priorities, and meet deadlines.
Confident using Microsoft Office and relevant systems, with flexibility to work outside standard hours when required.

Salary from $127,608.13 to $147,853.30, plus 12% superannuation
