We are hiring for Registered Music Therapist

About the Role

Pitch Waves Music Therapy is seeking a passionate and creative Registered Music Therapist to join our growing team. This role involves providing high-quality, client-centred music therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of settings, including clinics, schools, homes, and community environments.

At Pitch Waves, we value authenticity, flexibility, and meaningful therapeutic relationships. We support clients with diverse needs, including autism, intellectual disability, emotional regulation challenges, developmental delays, and mental health support needs. Our approach focuses on building confidence, communication, emotional expression, social connection, and independence through music.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver engaging and individualised music therapy sessions for individuals and groups
* Develop therapeutic goals, intervention plans, progress notes, and clinical documentation
* Build positive and professional relationships with clients, families, support workers, schools, and allied health professionals
* Adapt therapeutic and musical approaches to meet each client’s strengths, interests, and support needs
* Work both independently and collaboratively within a supportive multidisciplinary environment
* Maintain professional, ethical, and culturally responsive practice in accordance with AMTA standards

Your Contribution

* Current Registration as a Registered Music Therapist (RMT) with the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA)
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work independently, manage schedules, and maintain clinical documentation
* Knowledge of music technology and its application within therapeutic practice
* Current Australian driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
