About the Role
As an HVAC Technician with Ventra Services, you’ll be working across a mix of commercial service, maintenance, breakdown, and project-related HVAC works.
You’ll be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out preventative maintenance, completing repairs, supporting installations where required, and ensuring systems are operating safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
This role would suit someone who enjoys being on the tools, working independently when needed, and being part of a reliable team that backs each other.
Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day duties may include:
- Carrying out HVAC service, maintenance, and repair works across commercial sites
- Diagnosing faults across air conditioning and mechanical systems
- Attending breakdowns and completing practical, efficient repairs
- Servicing split systems, ducted systems, package units, VRF/VRV systems, ventilation systems, and associated HVAC equipment
- Completing preventative maintenance tasks to a high standard
- Assisting with installation and project works where required
- Reading and interpreting basic plans, manuals, and technical information
- Communicating clearly with supervisors, clients, builders, and other trades
- Completing job records, service reports, and site documentation
- Identifying defects, recommendations, and opportunities for system improvements
- Working safely and maintaining a clean, professional site presence
- Representing Ventra Services in a professional and reliable manner
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Trade qualified in HVAC, refrigeration, air conditioning, or mechanical services
- Experienced in commercial HVAC service and maintenance
- Confident with fault-finding and diagnostics
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
- Practical, solutions-focused, and willing to get involved
- Professional when dealing with clients and other trades
- Safety-focused and quality-driven
- A good communicator with a strong team attitude
- Someone who takes pride in their work and wants to keep improving
Required Licences & Experience
Ideally, you will have:
- Relevant trade qualification
- ARCtick refrigerant handling licence
- Current driver’s licence
- White Card
- Experience working on commercial HVAC systems
- Strong fault-finding and service experience
- Ability to complete job paperwork and service records accurately
Additional tickets, manufacturer training, EWP, working at heights, or other industry qualifications will be highly regarded.
