Part-Time Accounts & Office Coordinator (1 day/week)Rosebery, Sydney | Flexible Part-Time Role

We’re a small, family-run structural engineering business based in Rosebery, and we’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented person to join our team one day per week. This is a 12-month maternity leave cover for our Office Administrator, with a structured handover period commencing mid-June.

Company Description

Zimmerman Consulting Engineers is a well-established Sydney firm specialising in residential structural engineering. We’re a close-knit team known for our calm office environment, collaborative approach, and high-quality work.

Role Description

This flexible, part-time, 1 year contract position (one day per week—ideally Wednesdays) supports our office with accounting and administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing weekly accounts using Xero (reconciliation and invoicing support)·
Updating project and invoice records·
Preparing basic financial reports·
Assisting with general administrative tasks and phone enquiries·
Supporting day-to-day office coordination

We have clear, step-by-step processes and checklists in place, and you’ll receive in-person training before the current administrator commences maternity leave.

About you:

You will ideally:

Have experience using Xero (preferred but not essential)·
Have strong attention to detail and accuracy·
Be organised, reliable, and proactive·
Be comfortable working independently within a small team·
Enjoy a steady, structured workday

This role may suit a student, parent, or anyone seeking a consistent one-day-per-week position. Applicants on valid student visas are welcome to apply.
