Enterprise Architect is a critical role within the Consulting team. Working with a cross functional squad, an Enterprise Architect provides Technology Advisory and Solution Design services to our clients. The role also helps the consulting sales team with solution pitches. This role typically works on consulting engagements to solve complex digital problems and to define digital transformation strategies / roadmaps and solutions to help our clients realize technology enabled business value. No two engagement / clients are the same, however a typical engagement could include defining an Enterprise Architecture roadmap, leading a Technology evaluation and selection, reviewing an inflight digital transformation, or designing an approach to modernize legacy applications for a client.
A typical workday for a Digital Architect involves fast pace work, dealing with a variety of stakeholders, clients and consultants. You need to be someone who can deal with ambiguity; thrive on change and manage your own time effectively. We want someone that genuinely focuses on client outcomes, with a high degree of integrity. We value consultants that have a high IQ, enjoy problem solving, a willingness to serve, and have little ego. You will need to be confident presenting to both business and technology stakeholders, leading cross functional geographically dispersed teams, and have strong negotiating for outcomes skills. Above all, you should have a positive attitude, and enjoy working with consultants from a diverse range of backgrounds, on a variety of fast paced engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing the appropriate technology solution to the client’s specific business need.
- Providing advisory consulting to digital, business and technology client leaders in areas such as: Digital Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, IT convergence, product management, and platform architecture.
- Act as a trusted advisor in the field of digital technology led transformation from strategic vision, development of business cases all the way through to solution delivery.
- Provide client centric consulting solutions; coaching and guiding key and senior client stakeholders on complex technology related business issues and providing transformative guidance in technology architectural decisions.
- Support account executives to shape large deals / pursuits and to present solutions / proposals to clients; especially in areas such as Enterprise / Solution architecture, due diligence, technology selection, or digital technology integration.
- Coach and mentor junior consultants to improve their technology consulting capability.
Required Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 10+ years’ experience in Consulting and Technology services (with a strong focus on digital solution consulting).
- Strong track record leading client advisory, technology selection and solutioning and a hands-on role in leading complex transformation engagements.
- Experience in Enterprise Architecture (including creating architecture roadmaps), tech evaluation and maturity assessment.
- Experience designing API-centric architectures/solutions in a cloud-based or hybrid model.
- Experience in applying structured architecture approach (like TOGAF).
- Extensive client facing experience; preferably across multiple domains.
- Experience building relationships on engagements to drive successful outcomes, identify new consulting opportunities.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Google, AWS or Azure).
- Key enterprise product experience like CRM / ERP software (like Salesforce, SAP) will be highly regarded.
