Job Title: Cake Baker / Pastry Chef

Location: 680 George street, Sydney
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time/ Casual
Salary: Competitive, based on awards

About Us:
Doughkyo is a warm and welcoming bakery known for our fresh, handcrafted cakes, pastries, and breads. We are passionate about quality, creativity, and bringing joy to our customers through our baked goods. We're currently looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Cake Baker to join our team!

Responsibilities:

Prepare and bake cakes, and other desserts according to recipes and customer specifications
Decorate cakes with icing, cream, and other techniques.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation in compliance with food safety standards
Monitor inventory and inform the manager when ingredients need to be restocked
Collaborate with the team to create new cake designs and seasonal offerings
Occasionally interact with customers for custom orders or consultations

Requirements:

Proven experience as a cake baker or pastry chef
Knowledge of baking techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices
Creative and detail-oriented with strong decorating skills
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays if needed
Team player with good communication skills
Culinary or pastry certification is a plus but not required
