We currently have vacancies for full-time permanent Welders and Metal Fabricators who arepassionate about what they do and who enjoy working in a busy team environment.
Skills and experience
- Competent Welders and Fabricators with a Minimum 4 years’ experience
- Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade equivalent or experience required
- Skills in general steel fabrication
- Welders to have significant MIG welding experience.
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings to determine job requirements
- Be a competent operator of power tools including angle grinders, drills, bandsaw, linishers
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated organizational skills, and ability to manage priorities
- Excellent attention to detail, to all policies and procedures
- WHS awareness and understanding is required
- Happy to work within a team environment or autonomously.
- Excellent work ethic and a positive attitude to your work and your team
- Punctuality and reliability is essential.
Duties
- Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock
- Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines
- Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments
- Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting
Remuneration will reflect current market conditions and industry award rates. To be discussed with the successful applicant - $75,000 - $85,000 per annum (depending on skills/experience).
