Hotel / Venue Manager at Commercial Hotel Lake Boga

Location: Lake Boga, Victoria

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Business

We are a well-established regional hospitality venue located in Lake Boga, Victoria, comprising a licensed bar, bistro, and accommodation facilities. The business services both local residents and visitors and is committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences across all areas of the venue.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Hotel / Venue Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our hospitality venue. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accommodation operations, food and beverage services, housekeeping, staff supervision, customer service, and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the daily operations of the hotel, bar, bistro, and accommodation facilities.
Recruit, train, supervise, and lead staff across housekeeping, bar, kitchen, and front-of-house teams.
Prepare and manage staff rosters and labour costs.
Oversee accommodation bookings, guest services, and housekeeping standards.
Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, food safety, workplace health and safety, and other regulatory requirements.
Manage stock ordering, supplier relationships, and inventory control.
Monitor financial performance, budgets, and operational costs.
Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaint resolution.
Implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction, revenue, and operational efficiency.
Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and service across all areas of the venue.

Skills and Experience

Relevant qualification of 3+ years in business, hospitality, management, or a related field.
Demonstrated management or supervisory experience in hospitality, accommodation, retail, customer service, or business operations.
Strong leadership and people-management skills.
Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with rostering, budgeting, stock control, and operational management.
Ability to work independently and lead a diverse team in a regional hospitality environment.
Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays, and night shifts as required
Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification or ability to obtain.
