Full Job Description

Permanent | Full Time

Are you an organised administrator with a keen eye for detail and a passion for keeping things running smoothly? We are looking for a Procurement Administration Officer to support Council’s procurement, contract, administration, insurance and corporate administration functions. This is a diverse role where you will work closely with teams across the organisation, helping to ensure processes are efficient, compliant and well managed.

You will play a key role in maintaining procurement records, supporting contract administration, coordinating business activities and providing high-quality administrative support that contributes to the delivery of Council services.

What you will do

In this varied role, you'll:

Support procurement and contract administration activities across Council.
Maintain procurement systems, contract registers and key records.
Process contract claims and assist with procurement compliance reporting.
Coordinate travel bookings and assist with day-to-day office administration.
Process utility invoices and support budget administration activities.
Assist with contractor compliance requirements through Council systems.
Provide support with insurance claims, renewals and record management.
Prepare correspondence and other business documentation.
Provide support to staff on procurement systems and processes.

What we are looking for

We're seeking someone who:

Has experience in an administration or business support role.
Is highly organised and able to manage competing priorities.
Has excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Communicates effectively and provides excellent customer service.
Enjoys working collaboratively and building positive working relationships.
Takes initiative and works well both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications and Experience

Certificate III or IV in Business Administration or a related field.
Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
Strong written communication skills.
Previous experience in an administrative role.
Current Driver Licence.

Note: A National Police Check will be conducted on the preferred applicant.
