About the Role

National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) has a unique opportunity for an Assistant Project Officer within the Assets & Infrastructure Branch insurance team.

As the Assistant Project Officer, you will undertake a diverse range of tasks supporting the NPWS insurance program. This includes frontline customer service responsibilities, such as managing the Outlook mailbox and support helpline, and providing advice to NPWS staff on insurance-related matters. In this role, you will also contribute to claims management processes by undertaking activities such as claims processing, analysis, reporting, and implementation, along with other related administrative tasks.

Further details regarding the role’s specific functions and requirements are outlined in the Statement of Works.

About You
To be successful in the role, you will have demonstrated ability to deliver program outcomes and support activities in line with Statement of Works, given tight deadlines and competing demands and priorities.

Essential requirements

Experience in the provision of administrative and support services
Experience in development and delivery of programs and projects.
Understanding of contemporary project management principles and practices.
