Our Projects and Development Services (PDS) team provide corporate and institutional clients with the management of design, construction, and relocation services to minimise risk and eliminate unnecessary cost.
Projects range from greenfield developments to major fitouts and refurbishments, from single one-off projects to state, national multi-site and regional roll-out projects requiring consistent nationwide delivery.

The Opportunity:
As a Contract Administrator – Assistant Project Manager at JLL Design and Build team NSW, you'll play a vital role in managing the full lifecycle of client contracts across our diverse real estate portfolio. You'll be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating service agreements while ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. This position requires meticulous attention to detail as you manage both head and subcontract variations, take charge of the subcontractor and supplier claims process in line with our subcontract and HSEQ systems, and demonstrate a strong understanding of SOPA and payment claims. At JLL, we are collectively shaping a brighter way — for our clients, ourselves and our fellow employees — and your contributions will directly support seamless service delivery and strong client relationships. You'll manage critical contract finalization tasks including defect management, manual creation, financial disputes, and variation tracking, while working with the team to compile monthly reports that keep projects on track.

A snapshot of the role:
Manage head contracts and subcontract variations to ensure all changes are properly documented, approved, and executed in accordance with contractual terms
Administer the subcontractor and supplier claims process, ensuring compliance with subcontract agreements and HSEQ systems while maintaining accurate records
Process SOPA payment claims and related contractual payment obligations in accordance with legislative requirements and company procedures
Coordinate with finance teams to ensure accurate billing, payment terms, and invoice reconciliation aligned with contractual obligations
Compile monthly reports on contract status, variation summaries, payment schedules, and key performance indicators for management review
Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related inquiries from project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
Support procurement processes by evaluating vendor proposals, managing supplier agreements, and ensuring alignment with project specifications
Coordinate RFI’s and maintain change register (design)
Sound like you? This is what we’re looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field
3+ years of commercial experience in contract and financial administration, with demonstrated time working on construction sites
Proven experience administering contracts valued between $1M and $10M, preferably in high-quality office fit-outs, end-of-trip amenities, or retail spaces
Strong understanding of construction contract law, SOPA legislation, payment claims, and commercial terms
Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail with proven capacity to manage multiple contracts and variations simultaneously
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risk and recommend mitigation strategies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across project teams and with diverse stakeholders
