About the role
Reporting to the Head of Department, you will:

Provide clear, practical advice to clients on life insurance claims and disputed claims
-
Manage your own file load, including prioritising work and delivering services efficiently and effectively
-
Ensure matters are progressed with compassion, care and exceptional client service
-
Help manage and strengthen existing referral networks and client relationships, and build new ones
-
Stay up to date with relevant case law, industry developments and legislative change, and share knowledge with the team

Contribute to the development of junior lawyers and support staff, and build your leadership capability within our national practice

This role is integral to the wider National Superannuation and Disability Insurance team.
You will be supported to take on responsibility, grow your profile in the sector, and develop your career to a senior level.
What will you bring?
You will ideally bring:

Substantial experience in superannuation disability insurance claims and litigation, or strong personal injury litigation experience with a genuine interest in moving into this area

Proven post‑admission experience, with confidence running a busy, high‑velocity file load

Superior written and verbal communication skills

A proven ability to meet team goals and deadlines while maintaining quality and attention to detail

The ability to provide clear, concise and commercially aware legal advice

A tailored, empathetic approach to clients and a strong client care focus

The ability to identify practical and innovative solutions for clients

A calm, considered manner and resilience when handling sensitive issues and challenging clients
