Full Job Description

We're excited to welcome a Pharmacist Senior to our Pharmacy Department.

This position will be responsible for providing high level pharmaceutical services to inpatients and outpatients as part of the Pharmacy Team. This position is considered a rotational position across the broader Pharmacy Department, where rotation across clinical areas will be implemented in line with operational needs, as allocated by the Pharmacy Senior Leadership Team.

The common objective of the Pharmacy Service is that patients derive maximum benefit from medications whilst being exposed to minimum risk. This purpose will be achieved by the deployment of a skilled and caring pharmacy workforce.

Key Responsibilities include:
Document patient admissions (inclusive of a best possible medication history), conducting clinical medication reviews, and collaboratively formulating medication management plans.
Work cooperatively and effectively within the pharmacy and health care team.
Contribute to the development of practices, procedures, and protocols.
Provide education to pharmacists, pharmacy interns, clinical assistants, and undergraduate students.
Deliver efficient and effective pharmacy service to the highest national and international standards of clinical practice complying with the following regulatory, legal and professional requirements.

Remuneration based pro rata on equivalent full time value up to $157 359 p.a., comprising salary between $4912.70 - $5286.40 p.f. (f/t) or salary rates: $64.64 - $69.55 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Fixed term temporary full time or part time positions available for period of 12 months, hours negotiable).
