We are now looking for a skilled Network Administrator to join our team and ensure the smooth operation and security of our office network and IT equipment.
The Role
As a Network Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the company’s computer networks, systems, and day-to-day IT operations to ensure smooth and efficient business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and support to staff on network access, Wi-Fi connectivity, email usage, and IT security best practices.
- Investigate and resolve network outages, slowdowns, or connectivity issues to ensure business continuity with minimal disruption.
- Maintain and manage the company’s office network, including wired and wireless infrastructure, to ensure stable and reliable daily data flow.
- Implement and oversee antivirus programs, email protection, and access controls to help secure the company’s IT environment from threats and unauthorized access.
- Support staff with computer setup, software updates, and peripheral devices, promptly resolving technical issues to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
- Monitor internet performance and firewall settings, identifying and addressing potential network disruptions to maintain smooth operations.
- Configure and maintain shared printers, file folders, and shared resources to enable efficient internal data sharing and collaboration.
- Act as the main point of contact with external service providers, including internet providers, telecom technicians, and equipment vendors, for maintenance and support.
- Implement regular software updates, system patches, and data backup procedures to safeguard company information and maintain system reliability.
- Conduct periodic checks of network equipment, cabling, and server-related equipment to identify potential issues and prevent system failures.
- Keep clear and practical records of network configurations, software licences, and past technical issues for internal tracking and reference.
Who We Are Looking For
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Network Administrator.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Practical experience with LAN/Wi-Fi networks, routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Good communication skills to provide guidance and support to staff.
- Proficiency in configuring and maintaining office computers, servers, printers, and common business software.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with the capability to respond to technical issues efficiently.
