Full Job Description

We are looking for a friendly, organised and professional Dental Receptionist to join our team at our Mount Lawley practice.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with patients and being part of a supportive dental team. Ideally, you will have previous dental experience, particularly dental assisting experience, however this is not essential for the right person. Full training and support will be provided.

The role will involve a combination of front-desk reception duties, patient communication and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

Welcoming patients and providing a warm, professional first point of contact
Answering incoming phone calls and responding to patient enquiries
Scheduling and confirming patient appointments
Managing patient bookings, recalls and follow-ups
Processing payments and private health fund claims
Maintaining accurate patient records
Providing treatment and appointment information to patients
Liaising with dentists, dental assistants and other team members
Assisting with patient flow and general administration
Maintaining a clean, organised and professional reception area
Supporting the clinical team when required
Assisting with dental assisting duties when appropriately trained
Providing an exceptional level of customer service and patient care

Reliable and punctual
Comfortable working in a busy dental environment
A positive team player who enjoys working with others
Confident using computers and learning new practice software
Compassionate and understanding towards patients who may be nervous about dental treatment
Willing to learn and take on new responsibilities

Previous dental reception or dental assisting experience would be highly regarded, but is not essential. We are happy to train the right person who has a great attitude and a genuine interest in working within the dental industry.

Hours
