About Us

Aushope Group Pty Ltd is an Australian agricultural trading company based in Queensland. We are focused on grain procurement, agricultural commodity trading, supplier development and cross-border trade between Australia and Greater China.

We are seeking an experienced Grain Procurement Manager to join our Stapylton office. This role is suitable for a candidate with strong grain procurement, commodity trading, supplier management and Australia–China import/export experience.

About the Role

As the Grain Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing grain sourcing, supplier communication, quality control, logistics coordination and trade documentation. You will work closely with Australian growers, grain suppliers, shippers, warehouses, ports and overseas distribution partners.

Key Responsibilities

Source and manage grain procurement opportunities across Australia, including communication with growers, shippers, warehouses and commodity suppliers.
Maintain and develop relationships with local Australian suppliers and overseas distribution partners, particularly in Greater China.
Coordinate Australia–China grain import and export processes, including logistics, customs clearance, biosecurity requirements and trade documentation.
Conduct grain quality assessments and support quality control at the source, warehouse or port when required.
Prepare, review and manage key trade and shipping documents, including Bills of Lading, Phytosanitary Certificates, packing records, customs documents and logistics files.
Monitor shipment progress and assist in resolving trade-related issues such as customs delays, biosecurity matters, quality disputes, shipment rejections or insurance claims.
Support management with procurement planning, supplier evaluation, pricing comparison and commodity market information.

Essential Requirements

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in grain procurement, agricultural commodities, bulk commodity trading, supply chain, logistics or international trade.
Strong understanding of grain quality, agricultural commodity standards, export documentation and Australia–China trade processes.
Professional fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese, both written and spoken.
Ability to work on site at our Stapylton office and travel to farms, warehouses or ports when required.
Valid Australian driver licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
Full working rights in Australia.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
Strong negotiation, communication, documentation and problem-solving skills.

Highly Regarded

Experience with wheat, barley, sorghum, mung beans or other grain commodities.
Qualifications in international trade, logistics, supply chain management, agriculture, business or a related field.
Experience dealing with customs, biosecurity, inspection or export compliance matters.
Existing supplier or industry networks in the Australian grain sector.

Work Hours

This is a full-time role based at our Stapylton office. Standard working days are Monday to Friday. Reasonable additional hours may be required during busy shipment, inspection or negotiation periods.
