Are you organised, approachable and someone who takes pride in keeping an office running smoothly?

AG Security Group is looking for a Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to join our team for a 12 month contract, working 30 hours per week, to cover maternity leave.This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys being the first point of contact for an organisation while also providing reliable administrative support behind the scenes.

You’ll play an important part in creating a welcoming and professional environment for our clients, visitors and Team Members while helping ensure the day-to-day operations of our office run efficiently.

About the role
As our Receptionist / Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for managing reception and a broad range of office and administrative duties.

Your responsibilities will include:

Being the first point of contact for incoming calls, enquiries and visitors
Welcoming visitors and ensuring site and safety requirements are followed
Coordinating deliveries, incoming and outgoing mail, couriers and parcels
Monitoring shared inboxes and ensuring enquiries are handled promptly
Managing office supplies and maintaining appropriate stock levels
Helping maintain a tidy, organised and well-functioning office environment
Coordinating office equipment, kitchen and general workplace requirements
Assisting with the organisation of office events, including catering and setup
Maintaining documents, registers and reports
Providing general administrative support across the business
Assisting with reconciliations and invoicing
Supporting our commitment to workplace safety, quality, information security and continuous improvement

About you
We’re looking for someone who is professional, friendly and dependable, with a proactive approach to their work.

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

Previous reception or administration experience, although this is preferred rather than essential
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A professional and friendly manner with strong telephone etiquette
Strong organisational and time-management skills
The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to completing work accurately
Confidence using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
A self-motivated approach and willingness to take ownership of tasks
The ability to work independently while also being a collaborative Team Member
Most importantly, you’ll be someone who enjoys helping others, takes initiative and can be relied upon to keep things organised.
