Pocketnote Tutors is looking for passionate individuals in the Narre Warren South (VIC) area to join our team of Private Tutors. Pocketnote provides 1:1 tutoring and mentoring for students in Grades 2-12 in all subjects. Our mission is to create meaningful impact in the lives of students, supporting them to improve their confidence in the classroom and beyond.

You’ll be tutoring in the student’s home and online. If you are passionate about having a positive impact on learning and self-development for students in your community, we want to hear from you!

What you can expect from us:

Generous hourly rate with superannuation - the rate is $40/hr for in-person sessions and $35/hr for online sessions, plus superannuation.
Regular payments - payments are made weekly for all sessions conducted the week prior, so you know how much and when you’ll be getting paid. No chasing payments!
Flexible work - set your own schedule at the start of term and your availability for online or in-person sessions
Ongoing support - we handle the admin, including student onboarding and payments, plus a friendly support team to help you whenever you need it
Students looking for your support - we connect you with families. Our student numbers are growing and families are seeking reliable tutors for support

What we expect from you:

Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude
Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain topics effectively
Adaptability, to accommodate varying student learning styles and abilities
Patience and professionalism
The ability to commit to your students for at least 6 months
Previous tutoring or teaching experience
Completed high school in VIC
The ability to travel to student homes in the Narre Warren South area
A valid WWCC or willingness to obtain one (non-negotiable)
An ABN or willingness to obtain one (non-negotiable)
Experience working with students with specialised learning needs will be highly regarded
