Part-Time / Casual Gardener & Handyperson
Children's Village Spring Farm is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Gardener & Handyperson to help maintain and improve our beautiful early childhood education service.
This role would be perfect for a semi-retired or senior person looking for flexible, rewarding work while making a positive difference in the lives of children.
Duties include:
Mowing and maintaining the council nature strip and service grounds.
Caring for and developing our vegetable gardens and outdoor learning spaces.
General garden maintenance including weeding, pruning, planting and watering.
Basic handyman tasks such as:
- Hanging pictures and notice boards.
- Assembling furniture and equipment.
- Completing minor repairs and maintenance.
- Fixing gates, shelves, toys and other basic items.
- Keeping our indoor and outdoor environments safe, tidy and well presented.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and takes pride in their work.
- Handy with basic tools and repairs.
- Enjoys gardening and working outdoors.
- Able to work independently and manage their time.
- Friendly and enjoys being around children (while maintaining professional boundaries).
