Join our growing education centre and make a real difference!
Reports to: Business Owner
IMPORTANT: This is an operations and customer-experience management role, not a teaching position.
We're looking for a warm, organised and highly reliable person who enjoys working with children and families and is looking for a stable, long-term part-time opportunity.
Success Tutoring Caroline Springs is a growing English and Mathematics tutoring centre supporting primary and secondary students through personalised, skills-based learning.
We are looking for a Centre Operations & Customer Experience Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day running of our centre and become the friendly face of Success Tutoring for our students, parents and tutors.
This is not primarily a teaching role.
We are looking for someone who is naturally organised, energetic, warm and great with people — someone who can keep the centre running smoothly while creating an exceptional experience for our students and families.
The Role
As the Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the centre, including:
- Welcoming students and parents and creating a warm, positive environment
- Managing daily centre operations and ensuring sessions run smoothly
- Managing student bookings, attendance and enquiries
- Communicating with parents regarding sessions, make-ups, memberships and general enquiries
- Building strong relationships with families and creating an excellent customer experience
- Coordinating tutors and ensuring they have what they need to deliver their sessions
- Managing student files, resources and centre administration
- Following and maintaining centre procedures and systems
- Following up leads, trials and prospective families
- Supporting student enrolments and membership growth
- Following up enquiries and helping convert trials into ongoing memberships
- Supporting marketing activities and local community engagement
- Monitoring the presentation, cleanliness and organisation of the centre
- Handling day-to-day issues and resolving parent/customer concerns professionally
- Providing regular updates to the business owner on centre performance and operational matters
- Taking ownership of the centre and continuously looking for ways to improve
We're looking for someone who is:
- Naturally bubbly and positive
You genuinely enjoy interacting with children, parents and people.
- Excellent with children
You don't necessarily need to be a teacher, but you must be comfortable engaging with children and creating a welcoming environment.
- Great with parents
You are confident communicating with parents professionally, calmly and warmly.
- Extremely organised
You can manage multiple things happening at once without becoming overwhelmed.
- A great multitasker
A busy centre may have students arriving, parents asking questions, tutors needing assistance and enquiries coming through at the same time. You need to be able to prioritise and keep everything moving.
- Comfortable with technology
You should be comfortable using apps, booking systems, email, spreadsheets and basic computer systems. Training will be provided on our specific systems.
- A strong communicator
You can communicate clearly with children, parents, tutors and management.
- Customer-focused
You understand that parents are trusting us with their children and that customer experience matters.
- Reliable and consistent
We are looking for someone who wants a stable, long-term part-time role and can commit to the centre consistently.
- Takes ownership
We don't want someone who simply waits for instructions. We want someone who sees a problem and thinks, "How can I fix this?"
Experience
Previous experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
- Centre management
- Administration
- Customer service
- Reception
- Childcare
- Education
- Retail management
- Hospitality management
- Office administration
- Community/customer-facing roles
