Certificate 3 in Individual Support Community Care Worker – Aged Care

Permanent Part Time – 35 hours per fortnight minimum, up to 76 hours per fortnight.

At BCR Communities, we’re passionate about supporting older people to remain independent, connected, and living well in their own homes. We are currently seeking caring and reliable Community Care Workers to join our growing aged care team across the Shoalhaven region.

This role services participants across the Bay & Basin, Ulladulla and surrounding suburbs, supporting people in their homes and community with compassion, dignity, and respect. Travel between geographical regions will be required.

About the Role

This is a Permanent Part Time position offering minimum 17.5 hours per week, with flexible shifts available Monday to Friday.

As a Community Care Worker, you will provide practical support and companionship to older people living in the community. Your work will help participants maintain their independence, wellbeing, and connection to the things that matter most to them.

Duties may include:

Personal care and daily living support
Medication assistance (competency required)
Meal preparation and shopping support
Light household assistance
Social support and companionship
Transport and community access
Participation in individual and group activities

You will work across areas including:

Bay & Basin area
Sussex Inlet
Ulladulla
Surrounding Shoalhaven communities

Previous experience in aged care, or disability is highly regarded, but not essential for the right person.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must hold:

Australian Federal Police Check
First Aid Certificate
Certificate III in Individual Support, Ageing, Disability or equivalent (completed or in progress)
Medication Assistance certification or willingness to obtain
Current Driver Licence and reliable insured vehicle
Safe Driving record
Current Working With Children Check
