Flinders Port Holdings own and operate Flinders Adelaide Container Terminal, the port of Port Adelaide as well as the six key regional ports of Port Giles, Port Lincoln, Wallaroo, Port Pirie, Klein Point and Thevenard.

Role Overview

This role is based at our Head Office in Port Adelaide. You will work closely with maintenance teams, operations personnel, engineers, contractors and suppliers to ensure work is prioritised, planned, scheduled and executed safely and efficiently. Based around a 37.5 Monday to Friday roster, the role offers some opportunities for flexibility in timing of work hours and remote working capacity.

Success in this role requires strong organisation, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to balance competing priorities in a dynamic operational environment.

You will be responsible for:

Planning and scheduling maintenance work in line with business priorities and available resources;
Developing and publishing weekly maintenance schedules;
Coordinating internal maintenance teams, contractors, suppliers and operational stakeholders;
Monitoring work requests, maintenance backlogs and emerging risks;
Supporting safe execution of maintenance activities through effective planning and preparation;
Coordinating procurement of parts, materials and external resources;
Maintaining planning data, work instructions and schedules within company systems;
Supporting integration of maintenance activities with operational and capital project requirements;
Reporting on maintenance performance, schedule compliance and future resource requirements; and
Driving continuous improvement in planning processes and maintenance systems.

What Success Looks Like

In this role you will:

Build practical maintenance schedules that can be executed;
Help reduce maintenance backlog and improve schedule compliance;
Coordinate contractors and internal resources efficiently;
Support safe execution of maintenance activities across multiple sites;
Build strong working relationships across maintenance, operations and engineering teams; and
Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and maintenance performance.

About you

You may already be working as a Maintenance Planner, Scheduler or Coordinator, however we are also interested in hearing from people with experience in facilities management, project coordination, construction, logistics, shutdown planning, asset management or other environments where planning, scheduling and coordination are critical to success.

What matters most is your ability to organise work, coordinate people and resources, manage competing priorities and build strong relationships across a diverse stakeholder group.

You are someone who enjoys bringing order to complexity, thinking ahead and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to operations.

Experience using planning, scheduling, maintenance management or enterprise systems (such as Maximo, SAP, MEX, Pronto or similar) will be highly regarded.

Exposure to maintenance, facilities, infrastructure, industrial operations or contractor management environments will be advantageous but is not essential.
